Getting There by Sentosa Express
Here’s a step-by-step guide to getting there the most popular way: by MRT and the Sentosa Express.
❶ Take the MRT to HarbourFront Station
First, take the MRT to HarbourFront Station, the gateway to Sentosa Island.
HarbourFront Station, a major transport hub, is served by two lines: the North-East Line (purple) and the Circle Line (yellow).
❷ Head to Sentosa Express station on Level 3, VivoCity
From Exit E, head straight into VivoCity, the shopping mall directly connected to the station.
Once inside, follow the signs and take the escalator up to Level 3 to the Sentosa Express station.

❸ Board the Sentosa Express
The Sentosa Express operates daily from 7am to midnight, with trains running every 4 to 8 minutes.
Just like the MRT, the Sentosa Express accepts Singapore’s EZ-Link card and contactless credit cards (Visa / Mastercard).
Simply tap your card on the reader at the ticket gate.
The Sentosa Express fare is essentially an entry fee to Sentosa Island rather than a standard train fare.
It costs S$4 for both adults and children, while children under 2 ride free.
Once you’ve paid, you’re free to take unlimited monorail rides throughout the day — including your return journey.
