One of the standout areas is Far Far Away, inspired by the world of Shrek.

While Shrek-themed attractions can be found at other Universal Studios parks, Singapore is the only one to recreate the entire setting as a dedicated land, complete with the iconic castle and medieval village.

Another must-see is Minion Land, the park’s newest themed zone, which opened in 2025.

The park is also home to several attractions exclusive to Universal Studios Singapore, including Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs. CYLON — duelling roller coasters that launch side by side — and Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey, a suspended family coaster.

Opening Hours and Closures

Universal Studios Singapore is typically open from 10am to 8pm, though operating hours may vary by day.

The official website provides a calendar showing the schedule for the next three months, so be sure to check it before your visit.

Annual Events & Schedule

Universal Studios Singapore hosts a variety of events year-round.

One of the most popular is Halloween Horror Nights, a spectacular after-dark experience that attracts huge crowds every year.

 

When to Expect Crowds

Crowd levels are a key consideration when visiting a theme park. In addition to weekends, Singapore’s local holiday periods often draw noticeably larger crowds.

Even during these peak periods, however, crowd levels at Universal Studios Singapore generally remain manageable.

Getting to Sentosa


5 Ways to Reach Sentosa

HarbourFront is the primary gateway to Sentosa from mainland Singapore. Unless travelling directly by taxi, the easiest way to reach HarbourFront is by MRT.

From Exit B of HarbourFront MRT Station, proceed to the cable car station at HarbourFront Tower II.

From there, Sentosa — around 500 metres across the water — can be reached via several transport options, including walking, buses, the Sentosa Express monorail and the cable car.

By Sentosa Express

For those heading to Universal Studios Singapore, the Sentosa Express (monorail) is the most convenient way to get there. From HarbourFront, board the Sentosa Express on Level 4 of VivoCity and alight at the first stop, Resorts World Station.

This station serves not only USS but the entire Resorts World complex, home to the Oceanarium (formerly S.E.A. Aquarium), Adventure Cove Waterpark, a casino and several hotels.

Step outside the station and Universal Studios Singapore is just a short walk away.

 

By Taxi

For families or groups travelling together, taking a taxi straight from the hotel is another quick and hassle-free option.

Taxis drop off at the shared underground car park at Resorts World Sentosa. From there, simply follow the signs to Universal Studios Singapore.

As of June 2024, Universal Studios Singapore no longer allows same-day re-entry

Previously, visitors could leave the park during the day and return later, but this is no longer permitted, so please keep this in mind when planning your visit.

Lockers are available at several locations throughout the park, though lockers for large items can only be found in the plaza to the right of the main entrance.
