Universal Studios Singapore Part 2: Seven Themed Zones & Park Map
This second instalment of the complete guide to Universal Studios Singapore takes a closer look inside the park.
Using the park map as a guide, explore seven themed zones, each bringing a different world to life through immersive attractions and detailed settings. With plenty of photogenic spots throughout, be sure to have a camera ready.
7 Themed Zones
The smallest of the world’s five Universal Studios parks, Universal Studios Singapore covers around 25 hectares, featuring seven themed zones that circle a central lagoon.

There’s no set route around the park, but a few general guidelines can help:
- Adults and thrill‑seekers: the right‑hand side of the park features many of the major thrill rides, making a counter-clockwise route a popular choice.
- Families with children: the left‑hand side offers more family‑friendly attractions, making a clockwise route a smoother option.
❶ Hollywood
Hollywood is the first area guests encounter upon entering the park — a tribute to Universal Studios’ roots and heritage.

Stroll along the Walk of Fame to spot the names of favourite actors, or pause for a Meet & Greet to take photos with icons such as Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin.

The glamour of Hollywood’s golden age comes alive here.
❷ New York
The New York area is modelled on the city as it appeared in the 1980s, a period often described as the post-modern era.

From the iconic New York Public Library to brick buildings and cast-iron street lamps, every detail has been faithfully brought to life, creating a wonderfully photogenic streetscape.

This is also home to some of Sesame Street’s best-loved residents, including Elmo and Cookie Monster.
❸ Sci-Fi City
A futuristic metropolis straight out of a sci-fi blockbuster sets the tone for Sci‑Fi City.

Home to the worlds of Transformers and Battlestar Galactica, this zone is best known for its high-adrenaline thrill rides.
For those ready to join the fight for Earth and humanity, this is where the mission begins.
❹ Ancient Egypt
After exploring the futuristic world of Sci-Fi City, step back in time to the mysterious realm of Ancient Egypt.

Towering stone temples, pharaohs’ sarcophagi and imposing statues of ancient gods come together to create an astonishingly immersive setting.

Simply wandering through the area feels like embarking on an adventure to Egypt itself.
❺ The Lost World
Inspired by two blockbusters — Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park and Kevin Costner’s Waterworld — The Lost World brings these cinematic worlds together in one dynamic zone.

At its centre stands the iconic Jurassic Park gate — an unmistakable landmark that instantly evokes the film’s most memorable scenes.

Beyond these gates lies an experience unlike any other.
❻ Far Far Away
Step into the whimsical world of Shrek, where a charming storybook village sets the scene for a land of mischievous wizards, fire-breathing dragons and true fairytale magic.

While other Universal Studios parks feature Shrek attractions, Singapore is the only place where the entire Far Far Away kingdom – castle, village and all – has been brought to life as a dedicated zone.

The castle — the area’s unmistakable centrepiece — isn’t just for photos from the outside. Head inside to discover the attraction housed within and explore the kingdom up close.
❼ Minion Land
Minion Land, the long-awaited zone that opened in 2025, is packed with fun at every turn.

From three thrilling attractions and a live show to a themed restaurant and character meet-and-greets, this area bursts with delightfully chaotic, laugh-filled energy.

Get ready to go bananas!
