Thrill Rides
High-speed roller coasters are the true stars of any theme park. Even with a bit of a queue, these must-ride attractions are well worth your time!
Transformers The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle
Transformers is one of the most iconic attractions at Universal Studios Singapore.
This indoor simulator ride delivers a highly immersive experience, combining 3D visuals, powerful sound design and motion effects.

Once inside, the entire queue area is designed as part of the Transformers universe, with meticulous theming that builds excitement even before boarding.
With 3D glasses in hand, it is time to step into the ride vehicle and prepare for battle.

The action-packed battle unfolds at a breathtaking pace from start to finish.
Even for those unfamiliar with the Transformers films, the sheer intensity of the ride makes it an absolute must-do.

Battlestar Galactica
Battlestar Galactica, inspired by the hit sci-fi TV series, is a duelling roller coaster where two trains launch simultaneously, racing each other through intertwined tracks.

Adventure Rides
For those who prefer to skip intense thrill rides, water rides and family-friendly roller coasters offer a great alternative. These popular attractions are suitable for a wide range of visitors, from young children through to adults.
Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure
A thrilling white-water rafting ride through the prehistoric world of Jurassic Park aboard a circular raft.
The adventure ends with a dramatic plunge down a waterfall, so expect to get thoroughly soaked!

Ponchos are available for purchase at the attraction entrance and along the queue, but bringing one in advance is recommended. Even with a poncho, however, feet tend to get the wettest — making quick-drying sandals a much more practical choice than trainers.

For those who do end up soaked, walk-in drying pods are available near the exit for a small fee.

Loose items are allowed on the ride, but anything that must stay dry is best left in a locker — keep in mind that lockers here require a fee.

Treasure Hunters
Set within the ruins of Ancient Egypt, this attraction takes guests on a gentle treasure-hunting adventure aboard a four-seater jeep.
The vehicles run along a fixed track, allowing even young children to take the wheel and experience the fun of driving.

Capacity is limited to four passengers per jeep, so the queue tends to move slowly, often resulting in longer waiting times. As the Express Pass is not applicable, those keen to experience this attraction are advised to visit early in the morning when queues are at their shortest.

Smart Strategies to Beat the Queues
Best Times for Shorter Queues
One of the biggest challenges when visiting a popular theme park is managing wait times and crowds.
During the first hour after opening, queues are typically short. However, as midday approaches, lines gradually build, and wait times of over an hour are not uncommon.

At Universal Studios Singapore, which typically closes at 8pm (operating hours vary by day), visitors start filtering out around 6pm. By 7pm, crowds have thinned noticeably and queues are more manageable.
The final hour before closing therefore offers another valuable window to enjoy multiple attractions with shorter waits.
Express Pass for Priority Access
The most reliable way to avoid queues is to purchase an optional Express Pass, an add-on sold separately from the admission ticket.

With this pass, entry to attractions is via a dedicated lane, allowing priority access.
| Adult | Child | |
|---|---|---|
| One-Day Ticket | From $83 | From $69 |
| Express Pass | From $50 | |
Pricing starts at $50, with rates varying by date and season.
Though it comes at a premium price, the ability to skip long queues makes the Express Pass a powerful time-saver and a must-have for maximising time in the park.
Express Pass Terms & Conditions
- Priority access is limited to one use per attraction.
- Not valid for Canopy Flyer, Treasure Hunter, Magic Potion Spin, or Ready, Set, Rescue!
In the next instalment, Part 4 covers the parades, shows and meet & greets. Don’t miss the chance to get up close with popular characters!
